Leading a top 50 law firm, as well as working with commercial enterprises and public/private partnerships, has given me an invaluable insight into organisational and cultural aspects of a business. I have advised on matters such as the optimum governance structure for an organisation, creating an environment to motivate its people and building a "one team" approach, and ultimately finding solutions that allow the organisation to create staff and client delight.
There is no "one size fits all” solution. Each business is different, with different dynamics and different capabilities and at different stages of its life cycle. Achieving the desired outcome requires an appreciation of all these factors so that realistic objectives can be set and delivered with the available resources and capabilities.
